. . . from the Publisher

The book on the cover and feature pages of this issue, Heart Minded: How to Hold Yourself and Others in Love is one of the best books I’ve read on the subject. It’s an incredibly timely gift to us in such turbulent times. The author’s free, guided meditations are lovely, and the book can be used for snippets of inspiration on a daily basis.
Never (at least in my lifetime) have we needed to love one another, accept one another (especially our differences), have compassion for one another and be kind to one another more than we do now. In my experience, extending these qualities to others starts with loving, accepting and having compassion for ourselves. At the core of our beingness, each and every one of us is love. And in the depths of every heart, we all want to give and receive love.
Our lives overall certainly look different from years past, and the stress may be even higher than usual for many or even most of us. As we move from fall to winter, and through the holidays, let us remember that love is the most powerful force in the universe…and that our hearts always know how to access the love that we are and share it with others. I am endeavoring to remember this truth, even in the midst of the most challenging of situations.
This holiday season consider purchasing gifts (for yourself and your loved ones) from those represented in Truly Alive. Those offering holiday discounts are highlighted with their page numbers on the cover.
As Truly Alive’s 30th year in print (and 8th year online) comes to a close, we are deeply grateful to continue to be of service to the natural health and spiritual communities in central New Mexico (and online around the world). Thank you, thank you to our readers and advertisers for supporting us and helping us to move forward during these uncertain times.
With deep appreciation and love,
