“I felt the need for self-care after my world was met with challenges that changed my mind, body and soul. I took my first barre (pronounced bar) class 7 years ago… it sparked a fire within me that I had not had since I was a little girl. The joy and excitement I had long forgotten was reignited.”
Tabby’s passion and love of exercise is contagious in all of her classes. She creates a safe, fun and empowering space for every BODY, for every heart, and in every stage of life. A community where you come as you are, and immediately feel as though you belong.
Barre class uses traditional Pilates core and ballet conditioning. Prepare to shake, tuck, and wake up muscles by enhancing muscle strength and endurance with isometric holds, designed to increase core strength and flexibility, sculpting and toning. By employing barre, Pilates and yoga, the classes are fun, challenging, high energy. They are like no other class you have tried! This format is a refreshing change from the ever-popular mat Pilates class. Classes at The Studio accommodate all levels from beginners to seasoned athletes.
Other classes offered at The STUDIO @ AMETHYST include: Qi Gong (coordinated body postures and movement, breathing and meditation), Buti yoga (a unique practice, known for its cardio-intensive bursts of tribal dance and primal movement and conditioning), Salsa dancing (beginning and intermediate), and a variety of yoga classes.
