Three wise men. They metaphysically represent the accumulated wisdom and experience of the soul, were ahead of me on the path up to Mesa Point at Boca Negra Canyon. Their gifts of gold represent the riches, frankincense the beauty and myrrh the eternality of the Great Spirit.
Isn’t it wonderful to know that even when life can seem overwhelming and we can feel discouraged or depressed that the magic of creation is always calling us to express!
A majestic sentinel crow circled the tree beside my balcony and landed high in the branches. As I listened, it began to sing in a soft magical voice. I had read about this in Animal Speak by Ted Andrews, but I had never experienced anything quite so sacred!
Aghast, I watched as two smaller birds began to attack the crow! An old myth explains that this means the crow failed in its role as a sentinel. For us, this is a reminder of what can happen if we are not watching for magic and creation every day. The crow simply lifted off and left the smaller birds to rest in peace, rather than defending herself against false accusations or rumors.
If a crow shows up in your experience, it is a reminder to observe how the winds are blowing into your life and to adjust accordingly. It reminded me, that it is up to us to give birth to the magic of new possibilities!
