The Ruidoso/Alto, New Mexico area is long known as a beautiful place to come and relax, unwind, enjoy a variety of recreational activities and spend time with family and friends. Over the past 27 years the Ruidoso/Alto Health and Wellness has exploded with growth; now offering a wide variety of Holistic Healing modalities and life changing shifts. Our Sacred Mountain makes the healing journey an interesting adventure and Ruidoso has become the place to take your healing to another level.
There is a long diverse background from around the globe building here for many years. When I arrived in 1992, I was excited to become a part of this dynamic community. Arriving on the scene with a strong desire to network teachers and healers in the area, and after meeting a few through my professional networks like AHNA (American Holistic Nurses Association) and Healing Touch International, I began inviting these (and other) Alternative, Complimentary and Integrative Health Care providers to gather here at High Mesa Healing Center where we birthed the “White Mountain Health Network”. We published an annual directory and a monthly newsletter promoting the services available and corresponding events.
During the International Year of the Nurse (2010), I traveled with twenty Holistic Nurses to China and visited many hospitals and Universities. In 2010 and 2011, I made presentations on Holistic nursing at the Universidad de Guanajuato. Then in 2011 and 2013, we hosted two rotations of visiting nursing seniors.
By working together in cooperation, countless things in natural and alternative health were possible, emerged and expanded. Many from this vibrant group have gone on to create their own businesses in the fields of Holistic Healing/Wholeness.
