After Thanksgiving dinner at a friend’s house, I came home to find a 5’ circle of plaster had fallen from the ceiling onto my bed. Since the plaster came down due to a leak from the tub directly above, I was concerned about mold. I called a friend who had had mold in her house.
Based on the experience she had, my friend recommended that I call Jeff Koonce right away and have him look to see if there was visible mold growing already and consider his remediation process.
Jeff knew how to best proceed based on my specific home, built in the 1950’s. He came over almost immediately and set up dehumidifiers. While my insurance did cover the repairs and cleaning, it did not cover the fogging (fumigation) for mold. I elected, as a precaution to do it anyway.
All the furniture and clothing were cleaned, removed, boxed and bagged. The dehumidifying continued until all the moisture was extracted. After everything was sufficiently dry, the fumigation was completed in one day.
I was relieved when everything was done, and my house smelled so fresh. It was a great sense of security to know that inside the walls and ceiling were clean and so many of my belongs were perfectly clean too.
After the repairs were done by someone else and Jeff came to replace the furniture in both rooms, he patiently took the time and put my (very complex) custom bed back together and even made a minor repair to it. He was detail-oriented and caring at every turn.
I had such a good experience with Jeff and have so much confidence in him, I’ve elected to have Bear Carpet Cleaning part of his company come back to clean my living room furniture and rugs.
I highly recommend Jeff and Mold Free Now and Bear Carpet Cleaning to anyone seeking these services.
