We all know that smoking unfavorably affects your health. (According to the World Health Organization, tobacco is responsible for 5 million deaths per year worldwide.) There are also many other reasons to quit, the cost of cigarettes alone, is a significant one of them. But when many smokers want to quit, what is holding them back?
Nicotine addiction is deeply rooted in the subconscious mind. Many things can trigger thoughts around smoking that cause the cravings, such as stress, mealtime, having a few cocktails, morning coffee, etc.
What if there was a way to “shut off” or at least reframe the subconscious thoughts around smoking or other unwanted behaviors? Hypnosis can help untangle and work with the web that has kept these behaviors in place.
Hypnosis is designed to induce a relaxed and suggestible state of mind. Contrary to popular belief, you are always in control and can’t be hypnotized against your will. Clinical hypnosis will deliberately induce a kind of relaxed state of awareness. Once the mind is in a relaxed state, our agreed upon suggestions can have a great effect on your attitudes and behaviors.
I have helped clients with many things to include; stop smoking, weight loss, curb porn addiction, and help with impotence and relieve sexual anxiety. Although the inability to get an erection is an extremely common problem, it can be difficult for men to seek help because of the embarrassment that many feel around it.
Suggestibility doesn’t indicate a weak character; a strong-minded person may be a good candidate for hypnosis as they will strive to get results from the treatment. People who get the best results typically have a good imagination…the ability to get lost in a book or movie and the ability to concentrate and keep a good mental focus.
