What is Microneedling?
Microneedling is performed with a Pen using fine needles to create hundreds of tiny invisible punctures in the skin. While this may not sound so appealing, microneedling is minimally-invasive and incredibly effective. This is why it is becoming so popular among skin care fanatics. The micro-injuries (due to the body’s wound healing process), result in increased collagen and elastin production. Lasers injure the skin using heat or light, while microneedling injures the skin mechanically.
How much does it cost?
We have been offering microneedling in our clinic for more than three years and the current “Buy Two Treatments, Get One Free” makes this perfect time to have microneedling. We also offer financing.
Microneedling reduces fine and deep wrinkles.
Microneedling is a very powerful way to stop aging in its tracks. It helps prevent new fine lines and wrinkles from forming because it stimulates growth of collagen and elastin which is the key to new, youthful-looking skin. Since microneedling triggers the generation of new skin cells, it will noticeably reduce fine lines, crow’s feet, and deep wrinkles anywhere on the body.
Microneedling reduces scars, sun damage, pigmentation and shrinks pores.
A study in 2009 showed that more than 95% of acne-scarred participants reported a marked improvement in visibility of their acne scars. By stimulating collagen growth with microneedling, you can also reverse sun damage, discoloration and hyperpigmentation that comes with melasma. Since microneedling stimulates collagen in and around your pores, it causes them to plump and appear shrunken or closed. The key to microneedling’s powerful effectiveness with these conditions is in using the correct needle depth and speed settings. Many clinics are not licensed to use the necessary needle depths. In our clinic, we use a 36-pin tips where most clinics use an 11 or 12-pin tips (which provide much weaker results).
