What is Chelation? Developed in the middle of the 20th Century as a way to combat metal poisoning, chelation therapy is a therapeutic treatment used in alternative medicine. It’s based on the process of chelation, in which substances (chelating agents) are used to remove unwanted substances from the body. Chelating agents assist in pulling toxic heavy metals from the body such as lead, mercury, cadmium and others.
The most common form of chelation therapy uses a synthetic amino acid called ethylene diamine tetra-acetic acid (EDTA). EDTA is known to remove substances such as lead, aluminum, mercury, arsenic, copper, and cadmium from the blood. Enhanced Wellness uses EDTA as its primary chelating agent. The word “chelation,” from Greek means “claw,” in that EDTA acts as a chemical claw that grabs heavy metals and removes them from the body.
So why are all these dangerous metals and toxins in my body in the first place? The levels of these elements build up over time as a result of lead exposure, dental fillings that contain mercury, some vaccinations, and other exposures to heavy metals, such as regular consumption of farm-raised fish. Most of these metals won’t leave the body on their own.
Our bodies cannot detoxify heavy metals, yet it knows they are toxins, so it sequesters them in body stores such brain, bone and fat. Over time, they accumulate to toxic levels and seep out into the blood stream poisoning our nervous, endocrine and immune systems.
Eliminating excess or toxic metals or minerals from the body can make a huge difference in health and vitality. Patients are experiencing great results in reducing the risk of heart attacks, strokes, senility and certain types of cancer. Chelation therapy can rejuvenate the heart and blood vessels, improve liver and kidney function, increase blood flow to the brain, and more. You may be amazed at how your body function improves after chelation!
Chelation Therapy Can:
- Reduce Fatigue — Physical and Mental
- Lower Risk of Heart Attack and Stroke
- Reduce Pain and Swelling
And Chelation Therapy May Limit Symptoms Related to Alzheimer’s Disease.
