Diets, deprivation and over exercising don’t work! Statistics show that diabetes, cancer, obesity, heart disease, fibromyalgia, ADD, ADHD, Thyroid disease and other autoimmune diseases are on the rise. If these old techniques worked, this would not be the case.
This new approach is NOT a dietary prescription that tells you what to eat, how much to eat and when to eat it. It is an approach that will teach you how to access the wisdom within YOU—your internal nutritionist. Animals know what to eat instinctively and so do we. We have just lost touch with our body’s signals because we are moving too fast. The answer is in learning to slow down, relax and listen to our body wisdom.
A New Way of Seeing Nutrition
Here are four old beliefs we have been told (and need to leave behind) … and thoughts to replace them for a New direction.
Old belief #1: Eat less and exercise more. In reality, underfeeding and over exercising can actually slow metabolism and create a lack of nourishment.
New Belief #1: True nourishment and joyous body movement produce increased health and vitality.
Old Belief #2: If you eat the right foods in the right amounts, you’ll insure good health and best weight.
New Belief #2: You can be eating the healthiest food in the world and in the perfect amount but if you are eating it in a rushed and anxious manner, your stress response will significantly slow digestion and prevent vital nutrients from being absorbed. WHAT you eat is half of the equation. HOW you eat is the other half.
Old Belief #3: The reason you eat too much is simply a lack of willpower.
New Belief #3: We are not willpower weaklings! We overeat because we do not have pleasure, relaxation, time, and high-quality foods.
Old Belief #4: The “experts” know best what I should eat.
New Belief #4: Each of us is unique. The best nutrition expert for you is INSIDE of YOU!
