I have a bumper sticker that reads “Hooked on Colonics”. It’s a play on “Hooked on Phonics”. While phonics will certainly benefit your literary skills, colonics will benefit EVERYTHING in your life; including how well your brain functions.
There is a thought out there that enemas and colonics are addictive; that if they are done regularly, the colon will become lazy and will no longer work on its own. Here is what I say to that: “Let me ask YOU a question. If you exercise a muscle, does the muscle get weaker or stronger, lazier or more functional?” The answer is always stronger and more functional. This applies to the colon, too. In the colon (the large intestine) and the small intestine are many muscles, spaced evenly apart from each other. They are actually sphincter muscles capable of closing up tight (constipation) or closing sequentially and rapidly (diarrhea). They are controlled by the autonomic nervous system – the same mechanism that beats our heart and causes us to breathe or perspire. We do not usually pay much attention to these functions unless they start acting up.
When a colon acts up, it expresses as either diarrhea or constipation. For many, constipation is no big deal, they figure that given enough time, eventually they will have results. I say, “If you’re not pooping, you’re polluting.” Every part of your body suffers. The blood will have more contaminants flowing into it, which makes you attractive to mosquitoes, gnats, flies, ticks and parasites. (Bugs love dirty blood to feed their larvae.) Your liver and kidneys have to work harder. It also affects your lungs and lymphatic system negatively…not to mention your skin.
You’ve heard me say, “Output should be equal to input.” Three meals in – an equivalent of 3 meals exiting would be the healthiest example of regularity. Anything less means you are accumulating toxins and will eventually reach overload and something WILL break down.”
If you wait until this happens – say in your 50’s or 60’s – you have a lot of work to do to help your body get rid of the years of accumulated toxicity. This less than healthy collection of toxins will contribute to a decrease in energy, an increase in aches and pains, allergies and various other problems and conditions, including accelerated aging.
If your colon did not give you a movement today, help it out, give it a drink. A bucket enema or a bag enema provides 1-1/2 quarts of water to your thirsty colon. It will help hydrate you and aid your body in removing toxins. You WILL feel better!! Your colon WILL get exercised, become stronger and, in time, function better and you WILL be healthier. Better yet, find a colon therapist and have a colonic. It is an hour treatment and will remove an equivalent of 30 bowel movements or more, freeing up a lot of energy for your body to use for something other than managing waste. Get addicted to feeling good. You’ll be amazed at what a good cleansing can do!
